About Tabitha

 Hey Beautiful Soul, I’m Tabitha Brooks-Turner.

I am the founder of TruTabboo, an author, mental health mentor, and women’s restoration and personal development leader. My work is rooted in a deeply personal conviction: many women are not failing, falling behind, or lacking faith. They are living from wounds, beliefs, and survival patterns they were never given a safe place to examine.

I know what it means to keep functioning while carrying grief, rejection, heartbreak, disappointment, and the pressure to become everything everyone else needs. I also know what it means to discover that healing is not about forcing yourself into a better version of who survival taught you to be. It is about allowing God to restore the woman He created from the beginning.

TruTabboo was created to help women have the conversations they learned to avoid. Through faith-centered teaching, emotional honesty, storytelling, mentorship, and restoration work, I help women meet the Inner Little Girl they learned to silence, encounter the healing truth of Jesus Christ, remember who God created them to be, and walk confidently in their calling.

HER Sacred Return is the editorial home of that mission—a place where Scripture meets the parts of our stories we have often been afraid to name.

I am also a mother, grandmother, first-generation college student, and a woman still allowing God to write new chapters in her own life. I do not meet women from a place of perfection. I meet them woman to woman, with compassion, truth, and the belief that restoration is still possible.
