Hey Beautiful Soul, Welcome HomeHER.
There are moments when a woman realizes that the life she has learned to manage is not necessarily the life she was created to live. Nothing may look dramatically wrong from the outside. She may still be working, caring for others, showing up at church, handling responsibilities, and doing everything expected of her. Yet beneath all that functioning, something within her has begun to stir.
She may not have language for it yet. She only knows she is tired of carrying what she was never meant to carry. She is beginning to question the beliefs she once accepted as truth. She is noticing how often she disappears beneath her roles, minimizes her needs, performs strength, and calls survival maturity.
Perhaps that woman is you.
If so, HER Sacred Return was created with you in mind.
This is not a space that will ask you to reinvent yourself, perform healing, or force your way into a more acceptable version of womanhood. This is a place to slow down long enough to recognize what has been shaping you, and to allow God to restore what survival tried to rename.
What Is a Sacred Return?
A sacred return is not about going backward. It is not about becoming the woman you were before life happened, because healing does not require you to erase your story.
It is about returning to the truth.
It is returning to the Father whose love existed before rejection taught you to question your worth. It is returning to the identity God established before disappointment convinced you to settle for survival. It is returning for the younger parts of you that learned to stay quiet, remain useful, avoid needing too much, and become whatever felt safest.
For many women, the Inner Little Girl is not the destination of healing. She is the doorway, the place where we begin recognizing what happened, what we believed because of it, and how those beliefs continued shaping the woman we became.
But the truth is, God knew the whole daughter before she knew how to recognize all of herself.
“I have called you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1 NLT
The Father is not meeting some hidden part of you for the first time. He was present before you found the words, before you understood the pattern, and before you realized how much you had been carrying. Healing is not introducing God to your wounds. It is allowing His truth to meet you within them.
Why HER Sacred Return Exists
TruTabboo was created to unpack the taboos that built HER, the unspoken experiences, inherited beliefs, hidden wounds, distorted identities, and survival patterns that women are often expected to carry without examination.
HER Sacred Return is the editorial home of that mission.
Here, we will have honest, Scripture-centered conversations about belonging, identity, emotional healing, the Inner Little Girl, grief, rejection, faith, relationships, shame, boundaries, calling, and the masks women learn to wear when being fully known does not feel safe.
Some articles will comfort you. Others may lovingly confront what you have normalized. Some will help you recognize a pattern you could never explain. Others may give language to a prayer you have been carrying silently.
Through it all, God will remain the Hero.
This space is not built on the belief that you can heal yourself through enough effort, positive thinking, or personal development. We believe restoration begins with the Father’s heart and unfolds as His truth reaches the places fear, pain, and survival have shaped.
The Journey We Will Take Together
The work of TruTabboo follows the Restoration Pathway™:
Belonging → Identity → Freedom → Calling → Kingdom Impact
Belonging comes first because identity cannot be securely built while a woman is still trying to earn her place with God.
From belonging, she begins remembering who she is. As truth replaces the agreements she formed through pain, freedom becomes possible. From freedom, she can recognize her calling without using achievement to prove her worth. And when a restored daughter walks confidently in what God has entrusted to her, her healing begins reaching families, communities, businesses, ministries, and generations.
This journey will not always be linear. There may be days when you feel strong and days when an old wound reminds you that it still needs compassion. There may be truths you understand intellectually before you feel safe enough to live them fully.
You are not behind.
A quiet season is not always an empty season. Sometimes God is doing His deepest work beneath the surface, loosening what no longer belongs to you, revealing what survival taught you to believe, and gently calling you back to the woman He created you to be.
Begin Where You Are
You do not need to arrive here with the right words, a completed healing plan, or a polished testimony. You can begin with the truth of where you are today.
As you read, I invite you to pause when something touches a tender place. Bring the questions into prayer. Write down what you are beginning to notice. Pay attention to the beliefs beneath your reactions. Allow yourself to become curious without condemning the woman who did what she believed she needed to do to survive.
Her choices may make more sense when you understand what she was protecting.
And when truth reveals something that needs to change, remember that conviction and condemnation do not sound the same. God does not expose wounds to shame His daughter. He brings truth into hidden places because He loves her too deeply to leave her bound by what hurt her.
This is a space for honest healing, sacred remembering, and courageous becoming.
You are not only what you learned to carry.
You are not too broken. You are breaking through.
Welcome to HER Sacred Return.
With love,
